Assamese: এৰচ কাঠৰ কথাত জিকিবলৈ চেষ্টা কৰাৰ কাৰণে জানো তুমি ৰাজত্ব কৰি থাকিবা? তোমাৰ পিতৃয়ে জানো ভোজন-পান কৰা আৰু বিচাৰ ও ন্যায় সিদ্ধ কৰা নাছিল? তাতে তেওঁৰ মঙ্গল হৈছিল।


AYT: Apakah kamu pikir kamu adalah raja karena kamu bersaing dalam menggunakan kayu cedar? Tidakkah ayahmu makan dan minum, serta melakukan keadilan dan kebenaran, dan karena itu, keadaannya baik?



Bengali: এটাই কি তোমাকে একজন ভালো রাজা বানায়, যে তুমি এরস গাছের তক্তা চেয়েছ? তোমার বাবাও কি ভোজন পান করত না, তবুও সুবিচার করত ও ন্যায়পরায়ন কি ছিলনা? তাই তার মঙ্গল হল।

Gujarati: તું અરેજકાષ્ટના મહેલો બાંધીને સિદ્ધિ મેળવવા ઇચ્છે છે એથી શું તારું રાજ્ય ટકશે? શું તારા પિતાએ ખાધુંપીધું નહોતું અને નીતિ તથા તે ન્યાયથી વ્યવહાર કરતો નહોતો? તેથી જ તે સુખી થયો.

Hindi: तू जो देवदार की लकड़ी का अभिलाषी है, क्‍या इस रीति से तेरा राज्‍य स्‍थिर रहेगा। देख, तेरा पिता न्‍याय और धर्म के काम करता था, और वह खाता पीता और सुख से भी रहता था !

Kannada: ನೀನು ದೇವದಾರುವಿನ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ದಿಸುವುದರಿಂದಲೇ ಆಳತಕ್ಕವನಾಗಿದ್ದೀಯೋ? ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಉಂಡು ಕುಡಿದರೂ ನೀತಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನಂತು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ಆಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
