AYT: Itulah peraturan yang berlaku selamanya bagimu: Pada tanggal 7 bulan 7, kalian harus merendahkan hatimu dan tidak mengerjakan pekerjaan apa pun, baik itu orang Israel asli ataupun pendatang yang ada di antaramu.

Kannada: <<ಸ್ವದೇಶಸ್ಥರಾದ ನೀವೂ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಅನ್ಯದೇಶದವರು, ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಏಳನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಹತ್ತನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಇದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ನಿಯಮ.
