2Judah became God's sanctuary, Israel his domain.
3The sea fled at the sight; Jordan turned back.
4The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs of the flock.
5What made you, the sea, flee away? Jordan, what made you turn back?
6Why did you skip like rams, you mountains, and like lambs, you hills?
7Earth, dance at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,
8who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flinty cliff into a welling spring.
